The Wednesday Covid outbreak at Work Thread

yeah, lighten up people. the suicide christmas surge is a myth, though January brings a bounceback month.

I don't like to follow the pack

and the numbers support that.

if everyone jumped off a bridge, you'd say, "nah, I'm good"
Nah, I'll jump off of this other one!

was he your favorite uncle before or after he murdered someone? or both?
Before...I didn't see him after that. He turned himself in to a random house on Christmas Eve...turned out to be a pastor. I bet that was a weird Christmas Eve for them too...

Good morning good people. Reading an interesting book called Pandemic by Scott Sigler. It's the final novel of a trilogy I've been reading. Individuals with the disease are locked up, anesthetized and then burned to ashes. Interesting solution.

I have to shop for Christmas dinner today. Or, maybe it'll be Christmas Eve. I'd just as soon eat Chinese food, but hey, the wife is in tune with cultural habits and she has to have certain things to eat. So we'll do it her way.

I think there's some football on Christmas Day, so something to look forward to. Been listening to Christmas music. I find that very relaxing. White Christmas by Bing Crosby is probably the best song every written.

Thought for the day: At every party there are two kinds of people. Those who want to go home and those that want to stay. Unfortunately they're usually married.

I've started to do a yearly net worth statement. Good way of tracking it, and also noting where everything is so it's a little more accessable/easy to find if you happen to die.
I'll be dead, so what will I care lol! I really need to look into if my final wishes could happen, but I doubt it. If that's the case, I'm not sure what I'll want.

Aren't they making a movie out of it? I keep on seeing advertisements for a Pandemic movie (five years after lockdown I believe)

Until Monday. If I was on the support team, I bet I'd be working Sat & Sunday. Hopefully that is not the only gig they offer me once the switchover takes place. I'll be taking severance if that is the case.
You hear back from the interview?
