He’s the devil. He plays with a good amount of raw talent, but is prone to bonehead mistakes as dumb as the look on his face. Like many Bears QBs, he hovers in skill somewhere between low-end starter and career backup.
He was 3-0 when he was benched, and coming off a pretty miraculous comeback win. I mean he hadn't played spectacular, but hadn't played horrible either, other than a slow start in Atlanta, where he was benched after a bad pick.
I am all for them bringing Trubisky back on a short deal at the right price.
The problem was signing Foles in the first place. They’d given him too much money not to play. That defense was being wasted, was the fear, and Trubisky just wasn’t getting it done. It’s a mystery now if the Bears will re-sign him and what kind of contract it will look like. I think he’s done enough to sign elsewhere as a starter, New England or Washington maybe.
