Agreed. The only good thing from the Last Jedi that I remember is the rebel cruiser going light speed through the first order

They clearly had no plan going into this trilogy. If they had taken Lucas' ideas and just had others write and direct the movies they could've had something

The writing was a mess and he made some questionable decisions, I.e. Jar Jar, but overall the vision was there. He knew or had an idea about what Episode 1, 2 and 3 were going to be about

Jar Jar was not a bad idea. He was just executed TOO well. So well, in fact that they had to abandon the original plan.

I am a believer that Darth Jar Jar was actually a thing, but they were too successful in setting him up as the fool, that the heel turn could not be done convincingly.
