B1G aiming for Thanksgiving start

So things are going to completely change from sept to November??

Hey I’m not complaining. We all could potentially have mulitple P5 football games each Saturday from late September Until the middle of February. I’m in

How worried is the B1G commish about the china virus killing off his kid? About this fvcking much.

And that's why UW's coaches tweeted pro BLM bs? That's why the fvckhead B1G commish is pushing a political agenda.
Yeah, what a shitbag for pushing for voter registration and literacy initiatives. Fuck that guy! Sports, damnit!

Mid-January conference games in Evanston and Minnesota.

What could possibly go wrong weather-wise?
Don’t think they’ll do that. Likely the Vikings, Lions and Colts will lend their facilities to use. Can’t imagine they will be using them in the middle of January. :dhd:

Yeah I was thinking a bubble of some sort would probably be in play, especially if the winter is supposed to bring an increase in cases the way some have predicted. I guess the Bears have played playoff games in January but I wouldn't recommend outdoor games in the Chicago winter.

Yeah I don’t think they’ll do it outside. Those 3 domes I mentioned are in B1G states. Only problem could be if the want to start Thanksgiving, do they play those games at the home team stadiums? I’m sure there is some difference in weather but it can’t be that much between December and the middle of January, especially in places like Minnesota and Wisconsin.

If something happens where the Vikings or even Colts are hosting a playoff game (we'll just leave the Lions off this) the Jones Dome in STL isn't too far either. Don't have to worry there about conflicting home games in December when the regular season is going on too.

As for weather I can't speak for Minnesota or Wisconsin but the two winters I spent in Chicago/Evanston it seemed like while late November/December wasn't warm or not snowy by any extent it definitely and noticeably bottomed out more in January so MAYBE they could get away with squeezing a home game or two in for everyone before having to go to one of those domes?

Anything is possible. The way I see it with the two you mentioned is it’s tough to see ethier one of them being a top 2 seed. Rivers will get Indianapolis in the playoffs barely but all their playoff games will be roadies. I don’t think Cousins has what it takes to beat out the NFCwest or NFcsouth for a top 2 seed. So if anything I think it’d only effect maybe 1 weekend.

You would know better then me out there. I’ve been to Chicago once, in July. So I have no clue. I do hope the end up playing. It’d be real cool to have high level college football from September to February.

It really doesn't get too cold in Chicago area till after New Years. Minneapolis on the other hand after Thanksgiving it can be a bitch.

You can thank Nebraska now.

I don't see this working with a late November/ early December start. That is nonsense.

He needs to come out and say one of two things... either 'Hope you're ready, we are on as originally scheduled' or 'We will be starting late september, early october'.

I don't see how a start as late as after thanksgiving works with the season or the rest of CFB. Either the B1G would automatically be excluded from a potential playoff berth or the ACC, B12, and SEC would get 2 to 2.5 months to prepare and the B1G wouldn't get much of any time. This is nonsense.
