GAME Fiesta Bowl: Iowa State Cyclones (Big Xii Regular Season 1st Place) vs. Oregon Ducks (Pac-12 Tournament Winner) - 3 PM Iowa State Time (IST) on ESPN!

CFB would be better with this rivalry back imo.
The end of this game each year killed my Grandma.

She was from McCook, NE and Grandpa was from Cleveland, OK.

They moved to Baton Rouge in 1955 when Grandpa got a job in the LSU athletic department.

Every year at Thanksgiving we fix what I can only describe as homemade noodle gravy and serve it over mashed potatoes. It was Grandma's dish. I assume it's a Nebraska thing. Everybody in Louisiana is like WTF is that, but it's so good.

Did your Grandma like to noodle?

It’s definitely Midwest. As much as I hate to admit it, we called it Iowa noodles.

usually thick egg noodles and a chicken gravy. It’s crazy, but the only seasoning is salt and pepper.
comfort food for sure and something to come home to as a kid after a snow day at the park.

That's it. My wife was taught how to make it. Just eggs and flour to make the noodles and cooked in chicken broth.

Funny. In the last 20 years, Oregon and Nebraska have each been to 1 national title game and both lost. Looks like our awful decades are as good as your good decades.

Let us know when you claim your FIRST national title.

Oregon's been to 2 NCGs in that span...

Thank You for the kind words @michaeljordan_fan, @duckboy33 and anybody else I missed! I know it was rough night for the Ducks, but UO has a GREAT program of which I am envious as a fan. I think with a full season under their belt like ISU, UO would have been sharper, deeper, better, etc. Kudos on the Pac 12 Championship! I'll be rooting for the Ducks going forward when it doesn't interfere with ISU goals. Partially due to this positive Fiesta Bowl experience and due to my fun trip to Oregon last fall - when I toured the Campus, Autzen and the Marriota Trophy Room! Maybe next year, the two teams hook up in the CFP? Until then, Cheers, Go Ducks! and Let's Go State!
