So I guess I took a pay cut with this new company. Yet two weeks ago we were all told our pay wouldn't change. Not sure to bring it up or just wait and see about the other gig which would be a pay cut but have job security.

I've heard that story before as well, "We promise, nothing will change...." Yet everything does.
Is your pay rate decreased, or is it something like higher insurance rates?

Did some work in the basement over the weekend. Bar is mostly set up now. Still want to put shelves up in the closet behind the bar (this will be where most of the beer and booze gets stored, so I can lock it up when the kids get older), and have a couple more things to hang up, but otherwise it's pretty much ready to use.
Had been hoping that we could make the cheapo office chair that we've had for years work in the basement, but I can't find rubber wheels that will fit in it. Going to suck it up and buy a chair from Staples, it looks like.

Good morning good people. Broke the all time spam call record yesterday with 24 calls. Only 1 actually sounded American. Nothing new, just the same usual. Been waiting for someone to try and sell me the vaccine. Not as of yet.
My son and granddaughter are feeling better from the virus. He might go back to work tomorrow. He works at home. My other two grandchildren are still in bed at home.
A lot of things to look forward to this week. Georgia tonight, the electoral vote tomorrow, 2 days of NFL Wild Card Weekend, and the Ohio State-Alabama game next Monday. Hopefully something will come out right.
Thought for the day: Did anyone ask Tanya Roberts what it's like to be dead?

One just got forced into work today
SO..... It's me vs 4 other people tonight. Splendid. Though for the past 3 weeks it has only been myself and one other so I guess I should have seen this one coming

The way I've been playing the last 2 weeks I highly doubt I will have a chance. I've bowled in the 2 weeks probably 10 points lower than my average.. Hell, I might just throw left handed tonight... Spice things up a bit
No, I mean ”freeze” an account for a couple months and let some stuff build up, then switch it out with a different one for the next 2 months

Exactly! I had a meeting with their HR to go over my I9 docs. I asked a question and when he went looking I saw my pay had been cut. I didn't say anything to him, as he wouldn't have a clue and I'd like to still be employed until I have a new gig.
