Deli counter. I sometimes buy the pre-packaged sliced American cheese but I usually get that from the deli as well. Stop and Shop. I love Wegmans and that's where I do my true grocery shopping but they only really have "organic" meats (granted haven't tried them except for their grinder) so I could give that a shot as well

I mean, deli meat should last about a week, if you're keeping it in the fridge in the bag you get it from the deli. It's either in your head or your grocery store is trying to kill you.

I mean, deli meat should last about a week, if you're keeping it in the fridge in the bag you get it from the deli. It's either in your head or your grocery store is trying to kill you.

I'm sure it's just in my head because I do keep in the fridge and the bag that it comes in from deli. I mainly do Roast Beef so that is probably why. Never stays as rare as I want it and usually one day and it's dry as hell

So, buy like a quarter pound of roast beef every once in a while, and buy something else the rest of the time.

There's a lovely world full of lunch meat out there. Corned beef, pastrami, ham, smoked turkey, salami...

I don't like the deli salami for some reason. I only like that roll one that is only found out on the cooler section but you can never find it anymore.

I do like the smoked turkey and there was another turkey with spices on it that was fantastic but they stopped making it

Put the bag in a ziplock before putting in the fridge. Your fridge is removing the moisture. Also, the meat is picking up odors from the fridge and even a little changes the taste.
