Yeah....that doesn’t sound like a very well thought out plan at all. When I took the job, the company was pimping this idea that they were going to merge their NYC and NJ offices in Newark, NJ. The folks at corporate HQ didn't quite realize that folks living in NYC aren't necessarily keen on the idea of living in the city and catching a train to NJ every day, though. Not to mention the people who live in the Hudson Valley or Connecticut aren't going to want to catch a second train out of Manhattan to continue getting to work.
They then changed plans and said they were going to expand the office in Cranford, NJ (which had been planned on moving to Newark before), but scrapped that entirely when COVID hit. The office in Cranford is now closed, and the office in NYC will probably be shrunk when the lease runs out sometime this year.
Mea culpa for walking the PF tightrope here. I love the expressions in that gif.
You mean the taste? To me the pea isn't as bad as the hemp. I mix it with a cup and a half of frozen fruit, some peanut butter, water and blend it. It's not good, but I can drink it.
No, it really wasn't well thought out. They got about halfway through the planning phase before they realized that the NYC and Cranford leases weren't in sync like they thought they were. Someone thought they both ended around the same time, turns out they ended at least one year apart.Yeah....that doesn’t sound like a very well thought out plan at all.
I’ve seen a similar story

I really need to figure out where I can watch Sixers games...and maybe a couple Flyers games.I'm thinking I might have to cave and get cable. I have my doubts I'll be able to catch Blue Jackets games this year without it.

So do I for mlb. As long as Hulu tv doesn’t fuck me over this season and gets the rights back to the Braves gamesI support the mlb athletes who entertain me the legal way.

When I was at Verizon, WFH was some kind of major exception, and it seemed like it would take an act of God to even consider the option. This company seems a lot more receptive to the idea, at least. I know a few folks in sales jobs who came to the office only a day or two a week.We made a huge push for WFH over the years here. When I first started, there were like 2100 people in the building. At the start of covid, it was down to about 700 and they officially shutdown the WFH program to new people. The building went from like elbow-to-elbow which was too much. To knocking throwing up a bunch of walls throughout the building and turning them into Huddle Rooms and allowing various teams to just remove desk furniture to have "social spaces" throughout.
They still won't allow permanent WFH after the pandy because they've basically got an expensive tree house to pay rent on.

yeah, I am hoping we can primarily wfh full time with only touchdown space in office.I think we are WFH until June.
I am hoping it remains an option...but I think they will want us to come in a couple days a week,
