I made omelettes for everyone yesterday morning. I was like one of those folks at the hotel buffets that stands there just making omelettes. Took forever.

Apparently it's okay to be an hour away from the sawwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeet breweries, but it's not okay to be 15 minutes away.

If I have to drive, might as well get away from everybody.

What's the point in living right next to someone, if you have to drive everywhere you go?
 
Weekend had some ups and downs. Been fishing quite a bit, but Saturday was the best weather day of the weekend. Planned to drive the boat all the way down to the damn and fish in some deeper waters to try to catch some bigger fish. Got about a mile away and the motor alarm started going off. Something popped in the motor and all the oil drained out. Had to use the trolling motor to get back, going less than 2mph. After 3 hours, we were still about 5 miles away, so someone towed us to a landing and my dad hitched a ride to the cabin and got the trailer. Mr. Kobe took the boat to the shop yesterday on his way home.

I mean, country life is the polar opposite of the cool hipster socialite thing.

The suburbs let you do both.

But somehow it's the worst option.

I guess I misremembered. I thought you were mocking someone for having to drive far for groceries and shit. And hell, even me for my lot in the woods on the outer ring.
