I have a block wall that hasnt changed since I have owned the house. over 9 years. I am now being told the wall needs repair because of irrigation in my backyard, that is damaging the wall. There is a basketball court behind the wall. So i clear that up, and they say the wall is damaged, regardless, and needs to be fixed.

They wont tell me how to fix the wall, and they cant force me to paint it, as it is raw. They cant tell me to tear it down and rebuild it, but I bet you anything if I go out there and try to patch it up, they can force me to do all kinds of shit.

Right now the damage was caused by sprinklers that were removed 20 years ago. I went to a meeting last night to heard about it, and they had no answers, but are still saying to fix it. to which I keep saying, "give me something in writing that will be sufficient for the type of repair that you will accept."

Lots himmin and hawwin to that. So I say,"Well I guess its a non issue then. I cant fix it, if you cant tell me what is acceptable."

JFC ... is why I hate HOAs and ensured when I moved in here there was not one.

I used to wrestle with the constant over-reaching city codes in Va Beach and couldn't stand some of the nitpicky crap they'd come up with.

If they can't even suggest any remedies for your problem, tell them to GFT.
