The 1970+ 25 Bucket NFL Draft : CHAT

Fake tits are definitely not ideal. But to say their nasty is a different story lol.

Gravity is a real thing, nipples aren't suppose to be on top. I guess some people have lower standards than others.

I like matchup and don't think rankings work in this format with a bunch of like style players, but in an all time open type draft, we could have a ranking system by position groups

QB and RBs
WR and TEs
OL
DL
LB
DB's
Overall offensive scheme fit
Defensive scheme fit

For Baseball
C and corners(1st and 3rd Milk)
Middle IF
OF
Starting Pitching
Relief Pitching
Versatility(Lefty/Righty pitching and hitting)
Overall Power
Overall Contact
Speed
And for God's sake, overall DEFENSE

Each group gets a 1-10 ranking

and you don't think those numbers will be fudged to get the results the person wants??

I texted Nos last night that his omission of Jeff Garcia was biased and unacceptable. If there was ever a draft for Jeff Garcia to be a part of...this one was it. LOL. It's crazy that he's been our best QB since Young.

Also he's married to a former playboy model. What a legend.

I though Jeff Garcia was ghey.

I did text UK

Milk if someone is dishonest enough to vote against someone for any reason except who they think has the better team there is no system to help "fudging".
This system would be a way of helping guys vote in games that are almost always to close to call because the talent is so even

not what I am saying... People will always come in with an opinion on any match... if there numbers dont show their previous opinion, then they will likely recalculate... and they will create the numbers that fit their original opinion... and we will never see their first draft, nor know if there is any fudging...

Just like voting is now, we have no clue how other people come up with their answers,

so i dont see what your calculation idea does, besides giving people a uniform way to vote... But i highly doubt it would change anyone's vote...

So basically my point is that you had another STUPID idea... and you should be ashamed....

Only stupid to cheaters lol.
I never look at just the players, I look at the scheme, the weakness and matchup and vote how I really see it going. We have a ton of smart drafters, but it's easy to see a few don't understand scheme fit when they draft 4-3 ends as 5 techs or 4-3 backers as 3-4 backers. Not mentioning any names. Milk

I will say Milk has a point on one thing.

Lets say someone is looking at a game Shane vs Sushi now before they do their scoring they think Shane has the better team and normally that's how they would vote. Once they go through their scoring system and it turns out Sushi won 112 - 109 it seems likely they would just change the numbers to fit their original thoughts.

I am not blaming anyone in particular but some people throughout mock draft history absofuckinglutely vote on certain match-ups without really caring who the players are.

Sometimes people just don't understand what they are voting on, in their mind they are voting for John Elway cuz he makes their knees weak but in reality he's the most overrated QB of all time and unless the team also has Terrell Davis or is playing against the Cleveland Browns Elway ain't winning shit!

There really is no way to come up with a voting system that doesn't involve opinion (No matter how wrong) and emotion (Some people get their feels hurt).

My idea was just talking about voting on better team, we could start after like 5 picks and just vote and elaborate after each pick on what we think the newly drafted player adds to the team.

My idea about the Rankings was just a thought that I haven't thought anymore about yet.

Excellent idea in theory. In mock draft reality I don't think anything will change the minds of people who want to vote based on things other than the players on the team.

I like to start ranking teams as the draft progresses and teams start to take shape. Once you can see systems start to develop I like to look at personnel, how they fit the offensive or defensive schemes, how the players skill sets fit the role they would be playing in.Which could range from what side of the field they played on, to systems like 4-3/3/4 etc down to technique. I don’t decide games based on that I agree with UK matchups play a major role but it does give me a good gauge to work off going into matchups. I can also see ranking players like you suggested or maybe something along the lines of ranking things like personnel, system based on a point system. A lot of great teams and I always enjoy the way everyone drafts more than anything. Hell a lot of my favorite times have been voting against myself. That’s when you really get to appreciate drafting with everyone and the knowledge and conversations involving everyone in these drafts. Btw I was really impressed with the buckets especially with the format. Especially the groupings of the 4-3 and 3-4 DE’s nos. It’s easy to get the lines blurred but I thought you nailed them. Hats off brother

It’s almost been 12 hrs. Maybe time to skip @Mebert?
