I'm so far removed from smoking I can't even remember right.

2 days ago on the 13th.

Don't even think about them anymore. First time I've forgotten about the date; maybe that's a good sign.
I hope it wasn't too late. So far so good.
Congratulations. Glad you haven't gone in for the ultra-douchey vapes too.

My wife still smokes. The smell is terrible. I've taken the gloves off on this subject. I'll flat out tell her, "You fuckin stink. Go take a shower and brush your teeth."
I had an argument with my wife when she picked them up for a week after we were quit for a while. I was sickened that she thought it was worth the risk of getting hooked and having to go through quitting again. It sucked. I'd hate if she didn't listen and was still smoking now

Vapes might be douchey because of all the cloud chasing kids, but it was what allowed me to quit smoking, quitting vaping was a cake walk by comparison. Used properly it's a tool to get to the end. Vaping is still largely douchey but wouldn't knock someone doing like I did. Quit by any means necessary

Finally quitting smoking was a pain in the ass. Failed many times. It was much easier to quit drinking.

I wish she'd quit, but she actually enjoys it. I hated being a smoker, so it was relatively easy to quit. I just wish she could tell bad that shit smells too those who do not smoke.

But, she's gonna get an ultimatum once we get settled into the new place. I'll force her to choose.

I salute you then as one of the very few people using them as cessation aids. Seems like most people are still using the patches. Based on what I've seen of the vaping customer base, it's dumbass kids.

I tried patches, gum, lozenges, nothing ever worked for me. It took multiple attempts to even find the right "type" of vape to make the transition. After i was able to fully boot cigs it was just a stepping down the nicotine then giving the vape the boot. I despise that the kids are getting hooked, i firmly believe vaping should have always been a cessation device/tool and not a replacement or a whole other channel to get kids hooked on nicotine.

The dumbass kids will definitely outnumber the adults trying to quit, and it has only gotten worse at this point with all the pre mades out there (i quit when the closest thing to vaping was the blu e cigs that were a joke by comparison to the juul and stuff now) It is a shame because some people will probably not want to try just because of the stigma but its whatever, im glad i dont do any of that shit.

My Brother in Law is a decade+ younger than me and he started vaping to chase clouds when i was quitting (he has lived with us off and on since he was 16) it was annoying to watch him get addicted to it just because he wanted to chase clouds and be one of the "cool kids"

Ain't no money in marketing cessation aids. It's really not surprising that kids are deep into vaping, with artificial nicotine levels added to get them hooked. One of the great crimes against humanity in the modern era is additives for cigarettes; in the days of our grandparents, tobacco was pretty much the only ingredient to cigarettes and cigars (still is for pipe tobacco). So people smoked less and the habit wasn't as addictive, unhealthy or hard to kick.

I haven't seen a Blu thing outside of ads - I think one had Stephen Dorff in it. Juuls, you at least occasionally see someone on the street using. I don't know if those are knockoffs or not.

Juuls were made to be more like the cloud chasers

at least that is what i have seen from it, they became a thing after i quit it all anyway but the worst part is the juul things are way more nicotine than the DIY realm of things (not that you cant diy that high of a level but way overkill)

100% made to get people addicted and keep them addicted

Nice work.

It's been about 15 years since my last cig and about 12 years since my last dip.

Now what to do about this silly little drinking problem ...

Haven’t had one in about ten hours.

There’s a chance this buzz I’m about to catch could make me shit my pants.

Well done, man.

For some reason Cigarettes never stuck with me (alcohol did). I remember I was about mid 20s, and I was smoking about 2-3 a day... I ran out early afternoon on a Saturday and just kept thinking about it all day. Kept telling myself, "No, don't go buy more." And couldn't stop thinking about it. About 7PM at night I went up to the local mart and grabbed a pack. I had one cigarette and it just tasted... horrible. Maybe I got a bad pack? Who knows. Then I just felt bleh, and ran (yes at 7PM at night) about 4 miles. Came home and took the rest of the pack (so basically all but one cigarette), threw it in the dumpster.

Ever since, I buy a pack every once in a while.. but maybe smoke 5-10 cigarettes (not packs) a year? Usually end up throwing away unused ones lol.
