Got to the office about 2 hours ago.
 
First year ever they gave us MLK day off. First new day off in a decade as well. Not sure if this is response to what’s been going on in the world, but I’ll take it.

Just wish the kids didn’t have off too. The bear is when it’s a company holiday, but the kids have to go to school.
 
No day off here. I don't think I ever have had the day off outside of school. Even though it was usually a make up day. Did get President's Day off at the bank a couple of years before that was eliminated.

May move some extra furniture to the storage facility. Begin to think about setting up an office in one of the spare rooms.

full slate of NBA games starting at 1200 EST.
 
I brought baklava into work (no way we could finish all of it).

Coworker: "what is that weird looking stuff you brought in? I opened it, and thought there was no way I'm eating that."


That's why there's not much else other than chain, mexican, and pizza restaurants in this town
 
Good morning good people. Another week is here, and when it's over, the air will feel cleaner. Hopefully.

My daughter bought a cabin in the sticks with her husband as a summer getaway. She sent pictures and it looks like a great setting for a western movie. Oh well, I did teach her to think independently and so I guess she is. I'll only be visiting virtually.

Football season is down to 3 games. I like Kansas City to still take it all, but Green Bay is lurking. Should be interesting.

Thought for the day: You're only given a little piece of madness. You should never lose it.

Baklava is delicious

My mil refused to try a ham and gruyere omelette, couldn't get behind gruyere......I tried telling her very similar to Swiss, too risky
