I understand this. And September has probably the best weather of the year. But it's still September and that to me means summer's over.

Kids said summer was over on their first day of school so I think we were right. Now if schools would go back to the old ways of starting after Labor Day and ending before Memorial Day, then that would work. @pnkpanther is right, July 4th is the halfway point in that thinking so it's downhill after that for summer.

Yesterday was fun. Wifey self-quarantined herself from the rest of family because there is a Covid case at her work. (All administration at her school quarantined, but not teachers) So she's eating dinner on the patio while the rest of us are in the kitchen and so on and so forth.
