I grew up in in the next county over from Lancaster and heard so many of these stories, then at the same time the whole rest of the country seemed to think they are all such wholesome, innocent people... was weird

A lot of them in my area identify as "farmers", have 7-8 kids receive public assistance because of their declared income and then have a cash and carry business on the side.

Exactly. Though that area of Amish are probably more advanced and cleaner than those around here. I've heard some from Goshen area call ours the hillbilly Amish.

I consider myself and a few others the exception.

If you and I were trying to pour piss out of a boot, ill and dj would run over and get piss all over us and them while trying to take the boot away.
