I'm a gymnastics fan and the postponement created an interesting situation. Because of how the IOC/FIG rules are written, gymnasts are age eligible as of a certain date. With the push to 2021, a batch of gymnasts that wouldn't have been age eligible now are. So the US women's team composition is way up in the air. Really only Simone Biles is a lock. Gymnast Jade Carey is also nearly a lock because she pre-qualified through the World Cup system (this year's women's team is four gymnasts to the team, PLUS two additional gymnasts as specialists that qualify via World Cups).

I'd say the best bets will be Simone Biles, Sunisa Lee, Grace McCallum as the most likely for the four-person team. The fourth spot could be filled by new senior (who is newly eligible) Konnor McClain, Riley McCusker (if she's healthy), Moran Hurd, and dark horse veteran, Chellsie Memmel.

As mentioned, two additional possible spots for specialists, one of which is locked up by Jade Carey, the second spot possible to Leanne Wong or Shilese Jones (both of which have World Cup points).

Why don't they vaccinate athletes/coaches/support staff for those who qualify.

Tell every country to have their Olympic roster by June 1, and get them vaccinated. Have first world countries take care of poorer countries that don't have the resources for vaccination at this time.

And don't start with the "letting people skip in line crap." A lot of people are skipping in line right now so we might as well get entertainment value out of it.
