I’ll say this.
Midway through the draft I texted nos saying that this draft will possibly be the first time I will vote against myself.
I said that in frustration because I just like femur was trying to go so dominant defensively. And femur was able to execute that better and he was continually taking my targets. The most painful one was weddle because I panicked and took Harrison smith with my next pick.
Only other time I panicked in this mock was when nos took Larry centers and I ended up taking Byars with my next pick.

I pivoted half way in to go stronger offense because of femur. And now looking at the teams I think it paid off. Because I still have a great front 7, but I actually have offensive weapons to score. While femur really doesn’t

so I got me. I think I am the worst matchup for femur because I too am strong where he is. Just not as strong. And he is nowhere near me offensively.

I don't see how you think your offense is so much better, aside from Holmes it's not. You are both just lucky people decided not to pay attention to offensive lines while voting in this draft as you and Femur have two of the worst. I think these defenses are closer than most probably think, this IMO is as close as you can get. Took me a good 15 minutes to decide but I think I will lean Milk.

for me, it was lucky I never faced a good offensive line. Not that people ignored it.
The way this draft worked the people with good offensive lines went all out on good offensive lines. Most of us had either average to below average offensive lines. And that’s enough to ignore it in voting.

People ignored offensive lines! Also, you didn't have to go all out on offensive line, LT, RT, LG there were different levels of players, RG & C it was all pretty much the same. I had a very good line and good skill players and still lost. I believe it was a big disadvantage to go 3-4 in this draft and realized it just after I picked LT. I should have tried to trade him!

One of my favorite aspects of this draft was the realism. This wasn’t one of the all star team style drafts., Going in I thought the biggest emphasis should be on offensive line and the strengths of the role players.

Offensive line was extremely important as well as the players to compliment the over all team. I loved seeing the importance of a Kleinsasser, Cenrers, Byers etc. Whos skill sets bolstered offensive lines and added other dimensions.

I also enjoyed seeing some very under rated players and players that don’t get picked under an all star format. Take your team for example Lydell was a great pick he was a 1000 yard rusher on multiple occasions very talented back that doesn’t get the bigger name attention as he should. I thought Lydell running behind your line with Centets was a were dangerous combination. And would open your passing game up. With some dangerous WR’s.Terry McDaniel is one of my favorites Raiders. Not many CB’s fave Rice fits McDaniels did.Carson didn’t get the attention LT did obviously. But he was one of the best run stuffing LB’s I’ve seen play.

I was happy with my 3-4 Bethea and Culp were a hell of a tandem. Tooz was under rated. I do wish they kept stats back then I think some may be surprised by what the leader boards would look like if they did. But I see what you mean about the difficulty of a 3-4 in this draft. As much as I hate saying it the LT giants were a great team. But when people look back they think of their defense. And the productivity of their offense is often forgotten imo. Another area I thought offensive line played a great importance here. Ball control offenses eat clock and compliments the defense.

Altogether great draft format nos and great draft by everyone. This was definitely one of my all time favorites.

Not complaining but I think my oline was undervalued, especially with Alstott at FB. Plus Culpepper could run. Ball control and play action. I patterned the team on the 70s era SB teams

People for sure ignored o-lines.

my oline was good enough to match up with yours and my dline would have ate up your oline yet. Still don’t know how I lost.

That being said, I vote Milk here.

I had two hof tackles and a rg who made 2 probowls and was an alternate another year in 4 seasons.

I voted for your team I believe, I wasn't crazy about Culpepper but he was a linebacker playing QB. Moss and CC made him look better than he really was but in this draft he has just as much chance as anyone else.

With all due respect Jimbo Covert is at the bottom of the list of hall of fame tackles. But you're right a HOFer he is.

We should just not even draft OL anymore lol
