Is the fix in for Sunday?

Some might disagree here and even though I do not like Tommy boy I just don't know how it can be matched.

Now with another Mahomes-Brady matchup set...I think Brady is in a win-win scenario here imo. Of course, another SB win with the Bucs in only his 1st season at age 43 would add even more to his legacy.

He has already proved he can win without BB and he did in only one season, crazy.

If a 43 year old Brady beats a Mahomes in his prime, (who has the fastest maybe most talented WR and the best TE in the NFL, by far),that will cement Brady as G.O.A.T throughout even a Mahomes era. Even if Mahomes were to win 6 or 7, Brady will have beaten him twice in his early 40's to win a Super Bowl.
I think if Mahomes does win it can be a beginning of vaulting him over Brady eventually but even that will be difficult. What Brady has done might simply be untouchable and Brady for most of his career in NE never had an offense even close to Mahomes (except when he had Moss).
All I am saying is if Mahomes can't beat a 43 year old Brady...that will always be something we look at when Mahomes is about to retire. The future is bright in KC though.

Time left. The game clock is down to 2 and change. That means if you fail, 1 first down and the game is over.

The decision is this. Try on 4th down. When you score, you still need a 2 or conversion to tie. Assume that is good. Now you still have to keep TB out of field goal range in order to go to overtime.

They had all their timeouts, and the 2 minute warning. Thats four clock stoppages, potentially, and they had already all but completely stopped TB the whole second half. It seemed to me his thinking was their defense could stop them, so why not go for the tie, and then the stop? If they get it, and dont convert the 2pt, then they still need a field goal, which is easier to get than a TD.

It was the wrong choice in my opinion, and I am glad they did it.

The dude took the most random NFL franchise to the Super Bowl in one year. I agree even if he loses that doesn't detract much from this accomplishment.

Lest not forget that the Bucs roster was already loaded

I agree with going for it. Just saying the field position wasn't a part of the decision.
It should have been id argue. We all agree ya go for it. But the Packers miss it on 4th down the Bucs get it likely inside their 10 yard line. Green Bay holds them to 3 and out, the Packers then likely get it closer to midfield and within striking distance rather then having the Bucs punt from around their 35 and the Packers maybe pinned inside their 25.

But hindsight is always 20/20
