49.How old?
I avoid the barley wines and belgians. They aren't my thing. Not warm, but at proper serving temperature. American pale lagers need to be ice cold or they taste like shit. Most beer has more flavor when not disguised by it being too cold.

It does change the flavor. It's not going to turn it into the beer equivalent of gnawing on tree bark (hello, Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard!), but almost anything that goes in the tank impacts the flavor. That's a fermentation technique to increase the surface area for more rapid fermentation. It doesn't change the flavor. Just a marketing gimmick.
all american pale lagers are light beers. Come on dude... we have enough beer knowledge around these forums. You should know better!

Indeed, I stand corrected. Prior to 2020, that "style" was lumped together with regular American style lagers in beer competitions. Now there are enough of them around for their own style. I knew they were lumped together back when I entered my own beer in competitions, but that was over 5 years ago. *edit... after re-reading, I was wrong about that too. IDGAF![]()

What Makes Light Beer Different From All Other Beer?
What exactly is a "light beer," and how is it different from a "regular" beer? The experts weigh in on what goes into making this best-selling beer style.www.foodandwine.com
And as the Great American Beer Festival says in its style guidelines (yes, awards are given for light beers), “In these beers the word ‘light’ refers to relatively low body and reduced calories, rather than to color.”
Sunglasses. But I need to keep the sun out of my eyes....
My grandma drank about one beer a week. Coors Original at room temp. When we cleaned out her apartment after she died, I took one Coors Original and drank it at room temp in her memory. Had to choke that shit down to get through it. And that was before I was more of a beer snob and drinking mostly domestic lagers. Not warm, but at proper serving temperature.
