I was deciding between the two a few years ago - pay off my loans or down payment. Went with loans.I actually got screwed the first few months. I should have checked on it, but I thought my autopay would still keep going. But nope. A few months until I realized they automatically put a hold on it. I just went back and paid what I usually would be for that time frame. If I could, I'd be putting down more, but gotta save up for a house eventually.
Mr. Kobe got himself a small blow torch for a project he’s working on. He’s having way too much fun with it. Including torching the ice off the driveway.
I wish I had the tools and knew how to build stuff.Fuck. He has our entire garage used up by various saw tables. Last night he said he thinks he wants a planer. Whatever the fuck that is. As long as I get my garage space back for my car and free of saws and hockey nets, I’ll be happy.
Thats definitely the smarter financial decisionI was deciding between the two a few years ago - pay off my loans or down payment. Went with loans.
Think it depends on your interest rates, and housing market.Thats definitely the smarter financial decision

That's part of the fun.I wish I had the tools and knew how to build stuff.
I want to make a cargo box with drawers for the back of my SUV. Maybe like 7-8" high that would take up the back area and then I could still have the whole "floor space" to put things on, it would just be above the cargo box. I've got some cool ideas, but I have no idea how to make them.
It's all fun and games until Slinky cuts off another fingerThat's part of the fun.
Yeah, I could see that, but I want it to look professional and I have no idea how much time/money I'd need to invest in order to make it happen. That's part of the fun.
Unfortunately the housing market here has really shot up the last few years. Still cheaper than a lot of areas of the country. But I'm kinda hoping there is a minor downturn in the market somewhat shortly.Think it depends on your interest rates, and housing market.
But I spoke with a financial advisor about it before making the decision. He suggested that.
But honestly, up until a couple years ago, I was shit about saving/planning.
Those were my thoughts at the time, here in Columbus....4 ish years agoUnfortunately the housing market here has really shot up the last few years. Still cheaper than a lot of areas of the country. But I'm kinda hoping there is a minor downturn in the market somewhat shortly.
It can't keep going up forever, right? Those were my thoughts at the time, here in Columbus....4 ish years ago
@Hang_On_Sloopy08It can't keep going up forever, right?
Mr. Kobe has turned into a pretty good craftsman. Didn't expect that when we got married. He's currently working on a "river table" to house our modem/cable box/sound system/etc.I wish I had the tools and knew how to build stuff.

Mr. Kobe cut the tip of his finger off in high school on a table saw. No major accidents yet over the past few years he's gotten into woodworking. The last time I used a table saw i was in high school.
Fuck all that noise
Yeah, not sure what he's up to... Making monies? He seems to have disappeared
Don't worry. You'll cave and buy approximately 6 months before the market crashes and you have a house that's underwater and no end in sight. It can't keep going up forever, right?
