Picked up a handle of Bulleit at lunch, just in case.

I've been running through styles/brands...Dickle, Maker's Mark, Evan Williams, Jimmy Beam varieties...none tickles my fancy.

You recommend Bulleit?

You recommend Bulleit?

It's decent. If you like rye whiskey you might like it - it has the maximum amount of rye allowed while still being a bourbon. Bulleit is my go-to because it's decent and not terribly expensive.

I used to drink Maker's, but it started tasting a bit too sweet to me, so I looked for a change. Landed on Buffalo Trace, which I really like, but they don't make enough of it, so there's plenty of times that I walk into the liquor store and they don't have any. It just can't be my go-to under those circumstances.

At the beginning of the pandemic, I went to the liquor store and they had a whole display of handles of Buffalo Trace, which I'd never seen before. I bought three.

Basil Hayden's is good, but it's sorta pricey. A lot of people like Woodford Reserve.

If you can find it, Eagle Rare is tasty, but it's hard to find.
