EPL 2020/2021

Idk about all that? 7 points back? It’s tightly congested. I mean VAR U will keeping getting penalties, but it’s still doable.
City still have a game in hand too though. So it’s basically a 10 point lead that goes down to 7 if we win Sunday. That’s a tough climb with over half the season done. I’m looking to make the top 4 but even that seems like it may be a stretch.

I think Liverpool still finish Top 4, but it won't be easy. Less than 10 points separates the Top 5 right now, and Spurs and Chelsea are both capable of going on runs and slipping in. should be interesting.

I'm just glad the PL is not a runaway this season.

In a week or 2 it may well be.

Possibly but City doesn't have an easy stretch coming up.

Spurs
@Arsenal
West Ham
Man United

Anything can happen, I suppose, but the way things are going right now, I find it hard to see City losing any of those games.

I could see a few draws potentially, but given that this list is a majority of teams trying to chase City down, that doesn't help tighten the race. They're just a machine.

They're fully capable of not only winning, but demolishing those teams, I'm just hoping they drop enough points to keep the race tight.

That would be ideal.

From a Spurs perspective, it feels like we are just clinging on right now. No real title hopes (and honestly, we never really had any to begin the season). Top 4 is definitely the bogey we're shooting for, but we better right the ship fast if we want to reach it.

Top 4 plus a trophy from one of the 3 competitions (preferably 2 trophies: domestic cup + Europa) would be a massive success for Spurs and a major step forward.

Speaking of Spurs Chelsea, today should be interesting: The Underachievers Bowl. Someone will look even worse today if they lose. A tie might be the best option to hold off the pundits for another week.

I hope they both lose, just sayin'.

we suck again GIF

Couldn’t watch. Fuck you NBC. Sounded like another typical Chelsea performance. We have possession have passing and fuck all for finishing.
I watched. It was lot of Chelsea possession domination, but not clinical enough....but a win is a win. But Spurs yikes. Nothing until the end when Vinicius had a superb chance and Son a decent opportunity. Spurs their roster, I mean, what happened to Dele Alli? Bale another useless acquisition? Kane injured now, and Son 8 games in row no goals. They have no attact at all. Chelsea had a few decent chances, alot of blocked shots. Nice chance for Mount at the end.

their entire offense relies on going through Kane. They’re completely lost without him. Some of it can be equally blamed on missing Lo Celso and Reguilon. Key dynamic pieces to the offense as well

Dele is on the outs with Mourinho and frankly he’s been hot garbage when he has been on the field. If he ever comes back to something that resembles his old form, it would be a huge help.

Bale has looked better recently, but doesn’t have the skill set right now to cover all the ground needed defensively for Spurs.

Agreed 100% on this not being a runaway season for somebody. It is a fun year.

Dont see how LFC makes top 4 unless something changes. This defense hasn’t even been bad even with the injuries. This attack isn’t finishing. Some tough teams coming up, this bleeding on offense needs to stop.

HOLY HELL

All but 2 games are on cable this weekend.

Maybe NBC is starting to get that people are mad them hiding good soccer on their garage streaming site??? Or nah?

That and besides the Super Bowl tomorrow night, there’s no other sports events going on.

Of course Sheffield United and Chelsea are on peacock. I think all 3 of Chelsea’s last games have been peacock. At least Man U Everton and your Liverpool city is on the tv so we can enjoy those.

but Christ almighty. It’s my understanding that the EPL was not happy with NBC, in their contract they never implied a stream service. So I’d assume other networks have a leg to go after in the next round of negations which happen after this season.
