Where does Mahomes' performance last night rank among the worst QB performances in the SB?

Collins is easily the worst of my lifetime. Yeah, he was never considered to be a great QB, and the Ravens had an all time great defense(as did the Broncos when Cam had his bad performance), but that was just God awful.

Yeah going to be very difficult to top that.

Collins’s nickname was Vodka for a reason.

From my perspective it was a timely stinker.

stinker? he looked pretty good from where i was sitting.

I was pretty drunk and not really paying super-close attention, but it seemed to me that Tampa's secondary completely took Hill and Kelce out of the game. Mahommes looked scared to pull the trigger, and then it just got retarded at the the end there.
I think LB Lavonte David covered Kelce for most of the game. David might be the most underrated player in the league.

Well yeah. He kept turning around and running backwards. That's not the most sustainable plan.
Yeah, but his o line was about as strong as a wet Kleenex so not much of a choice.

I checked the box score. Eason only threw 6 passes, Grogran was the Pats main QB. Both were better than Collins.
I thought it Grogan/Eason as well. Statistically they might not have been as bad as Collins. But, they were pretty bad too.

The two worst QB performances I can remember were against the 85 Bears and 00 Ravens. That would be high praise for the Bucs to be mentioned in the same breath. But, I can’t call Mahomes one of the worst QB performances. That was all on his line and support (receivers not making catches, coaches not putting in more runs).

Kelce might have had over 100 yds, but I’ll be damned if David wasn’t right on top of him every damn play. Solid individual D.

I think the plan was to use the safeties to take Tyreek out and put David on Kelce and hope for the best. And that’s just what they got.

Bowles is an amazing DC. I have always thought that.

In the broadcast last night they talked about how Tampa weas using 2 deep safeties for more then 80% of their defensive plays. They were determined not to let Tyreek burn them again like he did in the regular season game. It worked brilliantly. None of us Chiefs fans had seen that good of a defensive game plan and execution in a while.

It was very Belicheck in that they decided they were going to take Hill away and try to minimize Kelce, then it’s just beat us with what you have left.

That first KC drive in the second half they were moving the ball with the run. Shitty Olines can always do better at run blocking. Two deep safeties opens up lanes once you get through the line. The Chiefs absolutely did not stick to the run game. I know you were down 12 points....but stick with it. The Bucs have to adjust and that could open up a guy like Tyreek.

They had the “best is with what you have left” right there, but never did it.

a big reason for his catch totals was the fact that he was working the middle if the field and the bucs took away the deep routes and the sideline routes. That left the middle of the field open. You’re right though... not much YAC for Kelce and that was the key
