Wine down Wednesday

lol @ anyone thinking there is one type of training that works for everyone. Everyone is different, and even diets need to be different for everyone depending on many factors. There is no singular answer for everyone.

No, dummy. All you need is the mighty Peloton. In fact, prior to 2019 nobody on Earth has ever actually been in shape before it’s introduction to humans.

I've got a treadmill in my basement and well more than 100 miles worth of trails in metro and national parks in my immediate vicinity, so I really never even think about running or biking on the road.

If that makes me a pussy, then I'll suck your dick.
Ha!
I have a treadmill and have a love/hate relationship with it. It find it incredibly boring and chore to workout on it but this morning loved it because it was 5 degrees.

That is problem where I live, there are no trails so I have to do a lot of road running during the week. I went on a trail run Saturday at a place that is about 20 mins from me. I loved it but its a pain having to drive some place

humblebrag???

When I was training to kick my nerdy friends asses I'd spend 3-4 hours a day on my spin bike during the week and then 100 Miles on the road over the weekend depending on weather.

Dropped my buddy on the first hill of the race and didn't see him again until a half hour after I finished.

I just put a bike on jack stands in the garage, and made a helmet with an ipad taped to it.

I used to cut together clips from Tour de France and ride to those before talkie bike existed.

How did you have time to give 3-4 hours a day for training? Your job must offer a lot of flexibility

These guys should start delivering pizzas. Make some money while spinning their wheels.

This was me today. Deep snow, ice, and frigid temps.

Other days I have a cemetery a couple of blocks away with perfect little asphalt roads. No cars.

I love a bike ride, and used to dust everyone I rode with. Thats was half a lifetime ago. Actually, I hated doing legs, and would just ride the fuck out of a bike.

In peak shape there was only one of my friends I couldn't drop.

His response to me complaining that I couldn't get him off my wheel... "You punch too big of a hole in the air to ever drop me."

You watch this yet, Roy?

yep, I'd be up and on the bike around 6am. I'd "work from home" with my computer on a table next to me from 8-10. Showered and sitting at my desk by 11. Off to lunch at 11:30.

I'm an amazing employee.

Today was the first day I have run indoors since early January. To give you an idea of how much I despise my treadmill I will wear spikes on my running shoes to deal with snow and ice and will run in cold unless its dangerous to be outside.
