Wine down Wednesday

JFC, that's really high.

I don't push anaerobic much on the bike.
I don't feel like I am going super HAM on there...it's just my normal workout heartrate...

do you measure yours, @gobucks0409

maybe it is boredom driven, but it isn't just entertainment for me.

but I benefit from it and it makes me better.

my biggest motivator is competition. I hope the leader board is motivating... but I guess it depends on my results.

my resting HR is in the mid 50's. I don't think I've touched 180 in a long time. Max is usually low 170's and that's at max effort.

there are so many people on the leaderboard that it doesn't do much for me.

I have my previous best on there too, which I use to push myself

I'm 5'9, so 180 is a little much for me, especially since it's not muscle weight. I went from looking like I was in my third trimester to my second, so progress
Good luck. It's not easy, it takes work, but from my perspective it's absolutely worth it.

I touch 180 every workout. Weights are superior to cardio in every way in terms of heart health.

well, you'll have to be moving on from this board for motivation.

last night I had a late snack, (well 9pm) which I had broken that routine. I ended up with heartburn in middle night, so that also helps deter future snack breaks

I continue to make small changes and improve habits but I enjoy grilling/smoking meat, drinking beer, and going out with friends so I've ruled out perfection.
100%!

I'm a bit of a foodie, so I love all kinds of great food that's not so good for me. That's why I'm maniacal about what I eat during the mornings and days - it let's me do what I want (within reason) at night.

If you want to drop weight fast, get a good case of food poisoning. Dropped 15 lbs in a week during to some bad deli chicken last summer
I lost a metric fuckton when I got mono in high school.

Car rental place: " the car you dropped off looks like it was in an accident"

Me: "uhh, yeah...I called you about this already. How is this a surprise to you?"

Yeah, my previous best is what I'm chasing mostly. I do try to get to a certain top x% in the total standings. So many of the people don't actually follow the class, though... They just ride at a certain pace. I'll follow the guidelines they lay out, and rise in ranking on the hard sections, then fall when you're "recovering", even if I recover at an output higher than they have listed.

Do the gym bikes allow you to pair with them, or do you not find that info useful?
I could probably pair it. I just don't have a monitor.
