I have a friend that has UC, used to have flair ups but takes Remicade infusions every couple months and that’s kept it in control.

I don’t think diverticulitis is triggered by acid. It happens when things get lodged in small pouches in the digestive tract. Causes an infection. When I get the feeling I take the antibiotic and drink a ton of water to try to dislodge whatever got trapped.

Gotcha. I don't know much about that condition, I was just assuming it was in the family of acid reflux?
