Had a friend who weighed over 600 pounds. When we first became friends, I was always really careful re: what I would say around him and him making jokes about his size kind of bothered me.

He figured it out and one just looked at me and said "Dude, I know how big I am". lol

nah- i've only been in one wedding and I got to choose the dresses for all the bridesmaids. Only been to one destination wedding (mexico) and aside from the gossip about the groom still banging one of the bridesmaids, it was fairly uneventful.

He tried and actually lost a lot of weight, but he passed away on Christmas Eve 2019.

Ironically, losing weight may have helped kill him. He started losing weight...then he really started losing weight, like way too fast. No one really worried about it at first because he was so big that we knew the weight would come off pretty fast for awhile.

But then he started having days where he couldn't keep anything down. Which he chalked up to the stress his body was going through. He had another friend who was also really big who was losing weight too and she told him that she was struggling with similar issues. They used to even joke that, here they were trying to lose weight and get healthy and they'd never been sick so much. Her getting sick stopped after a little bit, his didn't.

By the time he went to the doctor, it was too late. What was a potentially treatable cancer, had spread too far. He could have probably lived awhile longer than he did, but it seemed like he just gave up at that point.
