Bundesliga 2020/2021 Ongoing Thread

Will be interesting to watch Dortmund / Sevilla. That is the one I am watching. Of course I am rooting for Dortmund but..... lets see which Dortmund defender implodes today first lol. I expect a high scoring match.
And it is Hummels lol.

Glad BVB pulled it out.
Me too. They said in the game the Haaland release clause in 65 mil in 2022. No way I would let him go for less than 150 mil. 18 goals in his first 13 UCL games and only 20 years old. No one even close to that, including all the legends. A striker like that is a rare breed. Every shot is on net too. No wasted shots over the bar or wide (I am talking to you Coman, Gnabry, Sane). He is a physical and clinical beast out there. Really how may true decent strikers are there in the world? You could name them on one hand imo.

Awesome. I checked mine and said it left Cincinnati this morning but expected today...but I don't think so. I think before year ends I will splurge for a UCL Lewey and Muller with all those tags just to have it. May not happen again for awhile.
Saw a Lahm on Ebay today. 2013/14 Bayern with the UCL and World Champs tags and has the Wembley date on the front. Not my size though. I am 2XL. Hard to find. The Schweinsteger I found on Ebay was 2XL. Not easy to find then either. This is my favorite of all mine when Germany used these camouflage looking road jerseys in 2016 European Championships. It has the World Champion tag too.

True strikers are rare these days. When Haaland is one-on-one with a keeper, he never misses. He is also usually the quickest player on the pitch when he plays, unless it's against a few players like Davies. That release clause is a joke compared to his market value. I really want him to stay badly, but the EPL assholes and the La Liga assholes are already circling.

I liked that kit too. Unique considering Germany's kit colors and designs historically. I also am a 2XL. I'm 6'5" so finding good fits can sometimes be difficult.

I am 6'4". T-shirts are XL but jerseys 2XL and not many used ones exist. Just got my Bayern stickers 5 minutes ago, but no jersey or the T-Shirt. Neither have shipped yet. I know the new T-Shirt is delayed a bit so maybe they are waiting to combine. So not going to have the Boateng for a bit I guess.

He won't stay at Dortmund. They are sellers and now 6 points back of UCL if they don't make it big sellers.

We aren’t even BVB fans, but it’s frustrating seeing how they operate. They find great young players and simply wait to sell them. They’re going to do the same thing with Bellingham and Reyna eventually. Probably Moukoko too.

I agree. That is why you have to be a fan of the bigger clubs now or you will be frustrated because you can't get attached to players. For Dortmund Reus has been there forever, but other than that who? Hummels and Goetze came and went and came back again. Bellingham, Sancho, Haaland will be gone in the next two years. With young talent only you have to have coaching like AJAX. Two years ago they should have made the UCL final. Took a Tottenham miracle. They had De Lict, De Jung, and a few others and have great coaching.

I am / was Oakland A's fan, and I am nearly 60 and remember those early 70's teams that won 3 World Series. After that they became a minor league club for the Yankees, other than a few years in late 80's and mid 2000's. They always sell and I got tired of it years ago. I think everyone in Oakland did. Never could draw fans but with management like that for so many decades there is no real fan base.

Oakland beat the White Sox in the playoffs last year. So there’s that lol.

That is a lot of money. Only thing about Coman I wished he scored more goals. Only has 3. Nice amount of assists but Muller as a midfielder has 10 goals. I would like Coman to be at least around 10 himself right now. Not quite as clinical as I hoped at this point. None of the wingers at this point are Ribery or Robben. I thought Gnabry had reached that point but has totally flamed out this year.

Pavard has Covid now.

More Süle at RB I’d imagine.
Yes. Sule over Sarr for sure. Especially with Frankfurt and Lazio coming. Sule seems to be better at right back than at center back.

I was looking at the Manchester United roster and see where Coman would fit. No way he is ahead of Rashford. Martial is having a bit a down year so maybe that is the spot to upgrade with Coman. Mason Greenwood is a promising 19 year old. What if Sancho comes too? Coman would probably not be ahead of Sancho so he would be fighting for time with Greenword and Martial unless Martial moved.

Good points. I personally think Coman is better than Sancho. Rash Ford has finally hit his stride it seems. For the past couple years you and I have lamented Coman’s play here and there. I finally think he is coming into his own with FCB. I certainly hope he stays, but if that rumor is true, ManU is offering stupid money.

He likes to push forward, which certainly suits a RB over a CB. Can’t hurt.

Correct. In the few games he played rb, he was in box a couple times and got scoring opportunities. More so than Pavard.
