The electrical grid is being pushed to the limit with this cold system.

what’s the most you pay per month? In the summer I get up to 600 but I’m a power hog. I keep my whole house like an ice box. I run my pool pump all day. I have a ton of phantom power. I did upgrade all my ac units this past fall so I’m told it will drop some this coming summer

I had bills above 650 the first summer here. My house is 88' so the windows are shit for energy loss. My ac units are still original, believe it or not. I installed a big ass evaporative cooler the second summer, and it keeps my house super cold, if it isnt humid, or 118. Power bill is around 200 now. Going to swap out the HVAC systems this year, or next, depending. Roof mount units, so it will be expensive, as I cant do it myself.

I got an evaporative cooler last summer.
I only used it a couple of times, but it helped a lot, especially when I put ice water in it.
I owe you a thanks. You're the first person I ever saw mention a swamp cooler.
