Texans voted the ideologically pure nincompoops into office who refuse to enable a proper regulatory framework which would require public utilities and pipelines to invest in winterization. The precedent of 2011 had everyone saying it needed to be done, but Nooooo! “Conservative Republicans” preached deregulation and resisted (even as other conservative Republican governments in other states maintained their regulatory framework which protects businesses and citizens alike). Now, those proud Texans are in denial that their $billions in damage, thousands of ruined lives, and compounding deaths are impacting anyone else. Riiiiiight....
