I REALLY want the Mach-e GT. But my guess is that I'll have to wait too long and will buy an Outback instead.

I have so much faith in toyotas, I bought my truck from a salvage title dealer. Mine was totaled, hit in the rear end, and frame straightened. Instead of paying 40+k, I got it with 20,000 miles, for 22,500.00. No problems.

Toyota is always behind in tech because they won't use it until it's tried and true, same with engine component.

I do dig into reliability scores a bit, we have an Audi which don't rate very high, but they're dinged due to high repair costs, their vehicles per 1000 that need servicing are pretty comparable to competition.

But if reliability was on my #1 concern when buying car, Toyota/Lexus would probably be brand I went with (there are of course exceptions, I believe the Toyota C-HR isn't very reliable, but thats not a car I'd buy anyways
