Obviously I am late to the party and I am sure you mentioned this before (but I'm too lazy to look) but what is pre-ordered?
The demand is greater than the supply. People put down payments on cars, and then they build them.

Why is it so cold here? I have to put lotion on my nipples
It's New England... Just wait 5 minutes you'll be fine...

But it's not the tropical paradise you left for sure

Oh. You are trying to pre-order a car. What kind do you want?

But there are a billion dealerships throughout the state you'll get one

I sold my car before I moved, so just renting one now.

Going to buy the one i want tomorrow, if I can.

In regard to Massachusetts driving laws, I'm a 16 year old kid with a learners permit and money.

Yeah I knew you sold your car (and had a lot of trouble). Just didn't realize you were talking about buying one (as I came in very late to this thread)

Yeah could be tricky to buy a car then.. But you can. Just don't let them haggle you too much. They will do everything they can to get the highest price (obviously you know that) but be firm and say listen this is what I am, this is what I want and I won't go above X and see how it goes

You can't really haggle a dealer who is selling a car that has more demand than supply

Btw buying a new car is for suckers I guess according to these people.

As is leasing.

It’s only good to either have someone else buy you a car or to buy someone else’s sloppy seconds car

Not me. I saw go for it! I don't like leasing though...

But in this instance it might be the best for him for now and perhaps maybe even a little easier

I came in to the thread a few minutes before you, so all good.

No haggling here, since these cars are going above MSRP. The car is Paris Hilton hot!

What I don't want is a car I can't drive, because of registration or insurance issues due to a lack of a license. That's my concern.

The last new car I bought was in 2009, and that was for my wife. It's finally my turn. It's not like I'm getting a sports car... plugins are still pretty gay. But it has over 300 HP, so I'm good with that.

Lease is a no go. Mile restrictions are not for me.

Rav4 hybrid plugin is the target vehicle. My work has charging station, so I won't be paying for gas unless i travel. Kinda cool.
