Tournament Thread - Pac 12 Tournament

Dead serious . Penn St has a better resume than UCLA

I was thinking, if they pull this game off against Wisconsin, I'd for sure take them over ucla despite them being, what would be a game under .500.

I would be really interested in if a 14-14 PSU gets in. Obviously they'd need to make it to the title game and it's not looking good tonight but I think a 14-14 PSU gets in personally

I'd hope that'd get them in. They'd be 11-13 against Q1/Q2 competition. You figure in a normal year, they would have had 7 more OOC games, so they'd likely be sitting with a record of 21-14 or 20-15, which would be a lock at that point. Not looking like it'll happen because Wisconsin has figured out how to shoot it again.

i think he's going to win a lot of games there, but Cronin and UCLA is such a weird fit

if the people running the show at UCLA thought Howland was too boring, then what are they going to think of Cronin?

Damn. UCLA shouldn't be a tournament team. No resume, 4 losses in a row.
3 top 50 wins, 2 bad losses and 1 questionable loss

they have a worse resume than Duke

UCLA is not a tournament team

I think they'll get in. But their resume is fucking awful. I'll have to look at things a little closer this weekend.

Utah/USC heading to double OT. At this rate the Colorado/Cal game isn't going to start until like fucking 1 a.m.

it'll give me a reason to stay up

Shit. Just now realized it's Oregon/Oregon State in one semi. Could be interesting since it's a rivalry. But Oregon is playing lights out lately.

Thoughts on the Semis:

Oregon vs. Oregon State - Oregon has been pretty lucky. I think WSU and UCLA would have been tougher matchups for the Ducks. On paper, Oregon should win this game. Tinkle has done a good job improving the team from the beginning of the season but I don't think they matchup well with Oregon. If Oregon State is going to win the game, they will need to shoot lights out from 3s and get Silva going inside against the undersized Ducks.

USC vs. Colorado - In normal circumstances, I would take USC. Colorado didn't look good yesterday and historically they are a lot worse outside of Boulder. However, I'm not sure where USC's legs will be after a double OT game. As an Oregon fan, I'd love to see USC play some more OT periods tonight before the play Oregon.

Colorado looked mediocre last night

Oregon vs USC will be the finals

Betting Lines for the PAC 12 Semifinals:

Oregon (-8.5) vs. Oregon State
Colorado (-1.5) vs. USC

Oregon State leads 38-28 at the half.

Oregon hasn't looked this bad offensively since the USC game. Oregon will need a 180 to turn this ball game around.

PAc-12 TV coverage is just horrendous.

One game on PAC12 network and one on at midnight.

Christ. Now Thompson (a 28% 3 point shooter) can't miss

That's probably game. Oregon looks like they're throwing in the towel.

That's why you never bet on teams that depend too much on their offense in a tournament. Need that defense to get you throw a bad shooting night. Ducks defense can't do that.
