Is ESPN+ worth it?

No. It's not. But like stakes said, you can get it in the Disney+/Hulu bundle which is a pretty good deal.

It might get better down the road as they add more stuff to it. Like they just signed a rights agreement with the NHL so they'll be some games on there. But right now as a standalone service, you're not really missing anything unless you enjoy reading certain writers on espn dot com since they've put them all behind the ESPN+ paywall

Right now it would mostly be for the UFC fights, but at the same time i'm not sure I want to pay $5.99 for weekly UFC programming. I agree, it would be worth it if they added more sports content, but I could also see espn making it $9.99 a month once they add more content.

Get the bundle with Hulu and Disney + for the price of a Netflix subscription and it’s absolutely worth it.

Why would you need to pay for it?

Just started getting into UFC a few months ago myself. My son is training to be an MMA fighter, so we started watching together during the shut down.

I'd pay for it to get basically all the UFC fights. Unless I just want to stick with the prelims before PPV fights. But the fights are rather entertaining and seem like the sport less affected by this whole covid thing, however, I do hope they go to Texas to get fans there because that will certainly elevate the entire feel of the event as opposed to fighting out of some office building.

I am surprised at how entertaining it is. I was never an MMA guy, would very rarely catch one of the big fights in the past. I think I've watched 2 Lesnar fights and one or two McGregor fights. But it's damn entertaining now.
 
if you're into UFC, it's probably worth it. The transition from FOX to ESPN hasn't been very fan friendly.

ESPN+ just got more worth it today.

ESPN and the NFL cut a new media rights deal and one of the things it includes is an exclusive game on ESPN+ each season (one of the games they play in London every year).

And while it wasn't announced today, DirectTV isn't doing NFL Sunday Ticket anymore and people within the media industry think ESPN+ is the prime landing spot for it

Saw this, makes me wonder if ESPN+ eventually raises it's prices though.

I would think so eventually. Sunday Ticket might end up being like UFC PPVs though where you still have to pay extra to see them. I also guess that as ESPN+ gets more content, they'll pull it from that Disney+/Hulu bundle
 
Well I decided to give espn+ a try, i've only had it for a couple weeks and so far it has not paid for itself. The exclusive articles have yet to grab my attention, I've tuned in briefly to maybe one mlb game that was on it, and so far i haven't had it long enough to enjoy a UFC card exclusive to just ESPN+.

Then i find out yesterday that they are raising their monthly prices from $5.99 to $6.99. Unless it starts to really stock up on quality content, I dont know if I will continue to pay monthly for this. I'll see if there is good games comes CFB season on it, but if it doesnt access to any good games I'll dump the subscription.
 
Unless they get to the point where I can watch pretty well any college football game and every Braves game like I can with Direct, I won’t be signing up

I mainly did it now for the UFC fight nights, and the MLB game they said they show one MLB game a day. Well, I found that to be false when on Sunday when there was a heavy slate of games, there were none on espn+. But so far I havent been privileged to a UFC fight night. Hopefully their cfb slate is good.
