and just get rid of penny's and nickle's ???

According to this, it costs $.02 cents to make a Penny, and $.075 to make the nickel.
Only $.035 to make a Dime.

Just have to price everything in 10 cent increments, like $3.00 instead of $2.99, or $2.90. The merchant has to decide.

this thread got me thinking about it.
it needs to happen.

Can we just make pennies worth 10 cents?

Get rid of dimes and nickels... they cost more than pennies.

We are going back to the bartering system. I will pay you 3 mink pelts to put a roof on my house

I am going to buy a 2019 Dodge Town and Country for 4 hogs same as cash

Don't worry, Joe Biden's got you covered. With the way we're headed, coins will be probably be obsolete since everything will start to cost $100 and we'll all be billionaires like people in Zimbabwe.

So, after tax, if something comes out to $3.04, would it just be rounded up? Who would keep the extra? Tax man or business?

I've said for a long time that pennies aren't worth the energy it takes to carry them around.

Maybe we could just pay what is listed on the item like they do in Europe.
