St Paddy's Day Morning Thread

You think I care what a bunch of soulless freckled freaks think?

In all honesty, it wouldn't be much different than going to NY and ordering a drink called Burning Towers or something along those lines.
For the record, I've ordered plenty in "Irish" bars around here, and haven't been run out for doing it.

Dunno. Can't recall if I've ever ordered one when I was up there.

@redseat would know better than me.

Have yet to have a problem by saying it... But I haven't had one in a while so things may have changed. Especially now how everything is so PC

Oh same. Its usually my go to drink of choice at a bar that isn't a beer.

Just checked my bank balance....

Me too! $2,800 free money!!!!!

I feel guilty, like I robbed the government. I'm not used to getting free money I don't deserve.

Tell me, how do you poors, on the government dole, deal with the guilt?

hahaha
Sending it right back to them, via the IRS.

Gonna throw the corned beef in the crock pot soon. Made Irish potatoes (coconut cream candy for you folks not in the know) last night. Ham found a recipe for white chocolate fudge that was dyed green and topped with Lucky Charms marshmallows, so we made that too.

Hopefully will have a chance to make soda bread this afternoon.
You trying to tell us something about your ethnicity?

never understood the people that felt the need to drop it in, just pour that shit in and down it, no need for any potential splash back.

Ive honestly never even considered it offensive. The thought never even crossed my mind

The splash is the bomb part

Ive been told it had something to do with the cream curdling

I didn't either. Though I am not Irish.. But nowadays everything is "considered" offensive

your drink of choice that isn't beer is a shot with a beer back? how exotic.

Over here, no one gives a shit about it. But its named after a pretty fucked up event and one of the most deadly events in Irish history. Again, over here it would be akin to naming a drink after 9/11. Probs wouldn't go over well. I wouldn't give a shit, but i'm sure some people would be offended.

i get the concept, i just like to keep it more of a controlled demolition.
Im not really dropping it in either. Mostly just slide the shot glass in and chug.
