What have I said many times? That I brainwashed people into thinking like me? There's a difference between knowing what you're talking about and being influential AND forcing people to believe what you believe. It's up to you to know the difference and not allow yourself to be swayed by opinions you don't agree with, surely I have not been the only one sharing their opinions, if that doesn't make sense to you then I truly feel sorry for you!
One thing that I don't believe many of you have thought about is, maybe I just know more about sports than some of you do, i'm older than everyone and have loved sports since I was a kid. I should know more! Do I believe I have had some influence on some of the people drafting? Yes, I do and I should because I know what i'm talking about. I think I won like 12 drafts our first two years drafting, was that because I was a bully that cried if you didn't vote for me and forced you to change your vote or is it because I at least gave the impression that I knew a lot about sports, especially older players.
I think it's funny that now that I win less people are crying that I brainwashed many of you into thinking like me, what that tells me is some of you vote against me just because you don't want me to win, if not then how much of an influence am I really?

Every time someone disagrees with you, you wrong a hissy fit. So it's more like, they are tired of arguing with you and they fold. That is not influential.
I don't think many would actually agree with you about some of your player opinions bc they are really out there but then you throw a hissy fit but it's mainly about older generational players tbh.

If someone doesn't have the same opinion or they god forbide say something you disagree with....you throw a hissy fit and then leave or stop drafting. If you don't agree..which I don't expect you to then take it for what it is but it's the truth. I consider you and everyone else here a friend but this is only to help this board from going dead...improvements and it seems like you are willing to listen to changing up the voting, others not so much or they are to the point where they really don't care.
So for you to call me a crybaby bc I want to attempt to change up the voting process bc this one is boring and out of date....I could care less

The point I was making was not so much in regards to you personally but that there is a POV that I think would be turned on its head with other opinions. NBA especially as the game has changed dramatically. For folks that live, eat, and breathe NBA today they're going to have a much different view. Even older guys (I can think of a few) on the hoop that view it much differently.
It's not a matter of right or wrong on a lot of this but rather opinion. Obviously. When you have a group that has drafted together as long as they have you tend to know what people look for already. Like i said my first baseball draft I was looking at defense big time and realized that isn't even considered. Personally I think that's a big facet of the game to not even look at. But I learned quickly to discount it.
As I said I liked Milk's idea to create a voting group of 5 each draft. Maybe a few from within the draft and several outside of it that will commit to doing it. I would be wiling to bet someone like Smitty would have no issue voting but not want to do all these drafts.

I just spent two hours looking for the draft where it went off the rails with Mookie, Hall, Chomp. You were in on it as well even before me. It started with Chomp wanting time slots and he was disrespectful about it, you even said something!
Then Smitty and Mookie had a little disagreement, you again were in on this! Mookie is the first one who said something insulting and I took offense and then it just ballooned from there, then Chomp said something about Savali.
You actually accuse them of having a hissy fit as well, lolzzz that's your go to it seems!
Even Sushi got in on it with a beautiful metaphor
“Hey guys I’m gonna have a bbq at my place. Want to come by?”
“Sure. As long as when we get there we can tell you your house is a piece of shit, your food sucks and how our bbqs are so much better than yours.”
The issue I had with Sushi was not at all about players, he thought I disrespected him which if I did it was unintentional and I apologized and I hope we are on good terms, Sushi is good people!

So, fuck you Shane! You run these things for a decade and deal with people texting you complaining about shit all the time and tell me if it doesn't get the best of you from time to time. I have always wanted more people in the drafts because I like differing opinions obviously it doesn't seem that way to you being you decided to blame me for the Mookie/Hall thing oh and Mookie and I mended that fence and he text me pics of his baby and we used to text quite often, he's a great guy as well, Hall is a POS and always will be!
Okay, i'm rambling at this point because I can't believe someone that I considered a friend just tried to shit on me like that!

Just my 2 cents, but even friends can have disagreements. And honestly they're necessary from time to time. Helps clear the air and prevents harboring resentment. So hopefully instead of people (not just you or @Shanemansj13 or @stakesarehigh ) take this as an opportunity to have their say and we can try to move on in a productive way.

Ya know what, this isn't true. I'm sure Stakes is probably a pretty good guy, he just said some things along the way that have bothered me but i'm an ass hole a bunch so...

I say we do a ranking every draft by all the gms. Top 3 make it and one random wildcard for the playoffs(wild card cannot have participated in the previous draft playoffs) Voting determined by the remaining managers not in the playoffs.

I sent a longer response but decided against it. This is just who i am man. I'm not going to be the quiet guy who never says anything. But i absolutely go out of my way to not make personal insults. I will tell you you have a bias against modern players (which several in that thread also said) and at the same time acknowledge i have a bias against the older generation players (depending the sport and position of course....). If you take that as a greater offense than saying i only disagree because I'm drunk.....lol. i mean come on man. Thank you for at least tempering it down with a second response.
When I say I don't have a bias against modern players and i'm told yes I do, yeah that bothers me. I don't have a bias I just think it's stupid to include current players in all time drafts and I have said this since day one! Ask anyone. You yourself said you were drunk the one time you were ripping on white players who played prior to Jackie, saying they sucked because they didn't play against black players, shit like that annoys me because it's obviously bullshit! Shit doesn't have to be cool, I wasn't looking for forgiveness and I truly don't care if what I say bothers you.
I forget, when did I get mad at you for asking questions regarding rules, can you help me remember? There is a big difference between asking a question and crying about something you don't like.
I will not be running things from now on so things should be smooth sailing for ya now Mr. likeable.

I hope everyone chimes in on the voting process. Because i think almost everyone agrees it has become stale.
as for the disagreement part You countered with something in the nba thread towards me and i took no offense. You're a reasonable guy and just because i have an opinion doesnt make me 100 percent right. And i can totally see how what i said could be seen in the context that it was insulting to your sports knowledge and that was definitely not my intention.
I wouldn't pretend to know pre-desegregation baseball as well as many here.... as an example. I do think i follow hoops today a lot closer than most (you of course excluded and several others). But that probably plays into my recency bias.

I mean ya...i will always wonder what the field wouldve been had we allowed black players from jump. They're clearly better than white people on average in football and basketball. I feel supremely confident the Stan Baumgartners of the world couldn't just decide to pick up a baseball and go play in the majors (which is what he did)
Now that doesn't mean i don't think Ty Cobb is one of the best hitters to ever walk the Earth. So I'm not all biased.
