Ha. Certainly possible. This doesn’t account for tailgate drinking (not sure how you would quantify that). This would likely toss the list all around.

My Dad tells of going to see the Phillies with buddies in the early 70s and getting to the Vet way early and parking right next to a sewer grate so they had a bathroom while they pregamed.

I think gathering the data on who purchases the most beer during games would be relatively easy. This other data seems less reliable. I'm assuming just surveying or something.

Is that "pregaming" about buying beers in stadium before the first pitch? Because the parking lots outside of CBP have a pretty good amount of tailgaters.

Hell, I remember showing up to a game one night, watching a girl peel away from the party she was with, and pissing in the middle of the parking lot.

If I wasn't there with my wife (probably still in the "to-be" phase), I might have tried to get that girl's number. Don't see that level of class and sophistication too often.

and that probably plays into how much the pay for in the stadium.

The Nats don't really have a tailgate scene so you are stuck buying beers in the park.

Having been to multiple Philly-area pro sporting events, I can confirm this. They are drinking in line to get in the stadium, drinking on public transit, and likely many of them get started at home. There are commonly people in every section at Flyers games slurring their speech, and they didn't get that way from buying $9 beers at the stadium.

Not that it’s correlative....but the only time I’ve pregamed before a Magic game (not a super wild crowd) and saw a similar female pee instance....she was wearing a Sixers jersey. It might have been and AI Jersey, IIRC.
