Joe Musgrove in Arlington.

Good for him and good for them. Think they were the last team without one

Musgrove is great and deserves it.

But also

I once saw Musgrove pound beers at a Penguins game.

Fucking champ.

Son of a bitch. Shit.

Cheer up Rangers fans, you get whatever Vandy pitcher the Pirates don't pick.

And history says that one will probably be better.

(Or it will be like Cole vs. Bauer in 2011 when Cole didn't become consistently dominant until he left).

Baseball still dead to you, @HammerDown ? This is a punched bandwagon ticket. Get on board!!

To be fair with the Bauer-Cole deal, Bauer was seen as a nutcase for a few years there and isn’t missed in Arizona and was pretty average his first few years in Cleveland, and really, he’s only had 2 really good seasons, one of which was last season in a much smaller sample size than a normal season. Y’all did right by getting Cole, Bauer wouldn’t have been much in his time in Pittsburgh

Bauer's entire body of work isn't all that great. Through seven full seasons, he has a career ERA of 3.91 + fWAR of 18.1

He's had two awesome seasons + a lot of mediocrity.

Is Joe Musgrove related to the Musgrove who pitched for the Cardinals about 20-plus years ago?

You know what, I'm declaring that the Mets are still without a no hitter.

That Johan Santana no hitter wouldnt have stood in the replay era. God damn chalk kicked up by a line drive called foul. Probably that peckerwood Sam Hobrook umping third base.

Fun fact. Kent Mercker started the last two no hitters for the Braves, one he finished off, the other was a combined no-no. None of the big 3 ever pitched a no hitter.

Yeah I was pretty set on wanting Cole that year, and then they couldn't elevate him after that 2015 year. What a shame.
