Ronda needs to attend the seminar taught by John Cena entitled:

How to be booked as the top babyface in your division, be booed out of the arena and take it in stride.

Spoiler: the second time it happened sucked just as hard.

wwe needs to get out of the vie the virtue signaling and back to making good content

I don't consider giving black people an opportunity to headline an even is "virtue signaling" when they have earned it.

they didn’t.

and they proved it.

they forced it because of their race. Not their talent. It’s clear and obvious.

bud, it's the WWE in the year 2021. Nothing matters. Viewership + live attendance (pre-pandemic) has been trending down for years. WWE's business model has changed. It's no longer about stars. The brand is what draws.

When Stone Cold was at the top of the mountain, Raw was sponsored by Castrol GTX, LOL. WWE's corporate sponsors these days include Hyundai, Applebee's, Hulu, Mars Candy, Papa John's and Cricket Wireless.

Featuring Banks/Belair in the main event is something that makes their corporate sponsors happy. On top of that, there wasn't anyone from night one that was more deserving to be in the main event. because, again, nobody draws.

I don't think the sponsors really matter. It doesn't make it less of a "red" interest. Professional wrestling will always be more of a Republican interest.

But you still don't want to exclude a large portion of fans who want to see people of their color succeeding in the company.

it has nothing to do with "virtue signaling"

it has everything to do with marketing and drawing in diversity when it comes to viewers.

and I agree, Banks and Belair are two of the best stars they have right now...but they just don't know how to make women's wrestling interesting unless it involves tits and ass.

1.) the only north american sports league that has a more liberal base than WWE is the NBA. The whole "conservatives mostly watch pro wrestling" is an outdated stereotype. This isn't 1998.
2.) leave the virtue signaling argument to someone that actually cares about it. i didn't mention that once in my post.
3.) sponsors don't matter? WWE changed their entire product over a decade ago to make it more sponsor-friendly. that was a great business decision and WWE has reaped in the benefits of that investment.
4.) it is about marketing + drawing in diversity, which again, is something that the corporate sponsors care about.

yup.
And it’s why the product is far worse than the good ole days.

the last part is true just because it’s like the WNBA.

it’s that simple

not a hard one to figure out really

The ads are ten times better now than in the attitude era. The company is making much more money, as well as the wrestlers are making much money.

But the fans metrics in terms of attendance and tv ratings has gone down but I think that is a combination no legit stars and how wrestling was trending when CM Punk became the guy. Wrestling has always about suspending your disbelief. But you turn on the tv and see one of the tops is a guy who’s ass you can kick, you can’t suspend your disbelief. You can’t do another remake of Terminator with Seth Rohan starring in Arnold’s role.

And yet fans like hbk and Adam Cole, two of the most likely to be able to get beat up by a fan
