An ill Monday thread.

Insurance company calls.

Leaves a message that a piece of mail for my auto policy got sent back.

"We just need you to call back and confirm your address. And did you know since you have auto with us, you can also insure your...oh, it appears you have homeowners with us too, with your address on it... I'll just get that updated."

Since my son and I have the same name minus suffix, I get calls for him quite often. Especially since I stated managing his rental property.

the guy running my fantasy baseball league put a weekly cap on how many innings our pitchers can record each matchup because a team a few years ago kept swapping his pitching out so he had all the probables going through the week.

I came in second with that strategy, but first place was doing it too.

but he has the limit waaaaaay too low.

My Commish changed the weekly SP start limit from 10 to 7

he should have limited the number of weekly pick ups instead.

looks like mine is set at 12 starts with 7 acquisition max. only 4 bench slots and 2 IL, so with injuries the first week was a little rough to get used to on how to best manage. finished 8-1-1 after i pussied out on starting Kershaw and Scherzer yesterday because it could have lost me ERA if one of them blew up. Alas Chapman got a W and tied. very disappointing turn of events.

In other things no one cares about, I might begin writing my yearly self assessment that's due today soon. fun times.

Musgrove's no-no saved my ass this week.

that gave me 87.75 pts.

it's a really weird league with points...

probably try to add 2 sentences for each of the 5 categories onto my midyear one. my raters hate me for not writing more.

not my job...

B Bux and JD Martinez helped me cruise to victory. Also have Musgrave.

I am so glad I don't have to do that on myself.. Though my manager doing it on me is stupid and doesn't work at all. Barely writes anything and just checks off "acceptable"

Now waiting for a couple days until wifey gets a call to schedule the first procedure. They basically stick an ultrasound mic into my wife's esophagus and try to see if they can find a defect in the heart. If that comes up empty, next step is to put a heart monitor in her to test for afibrillation. Then, I guess it's just kinda whatever.
