In 1988, Whitney Houston breaks the record held by The Beatles and The Bee Gees of scoring seven consecutive US number one hits when "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" tops the Billboard Pop chart.

Not an artist that I sought out or seek out when trying to decide what I wanted to listen to, but what a set of pipes on that gal.

Generational talent, but not my cup-o-beer.

In '88 I had an awesome mullet and was rocking Thrash albums.

There is no question she had quite the voice, although I wasn't a fan of her music.

My graduating class song was "I will always love you" do you realize how pissed off I was? I hate Whitney Houston

Ugh, I can only imagine.
I mean, I love Dolly's version ... so beautiful and sweet, but I wouldn't want her version as my graduating class's song, either.
That's just obnoxious.

My class elected "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" by the Animals. Bunch of rebels we were.

Mine is Linda Ronstadt's, but Dolly wrote it, so props for her.

That's what happens when you have a bunch of chicks as student body government. None of the guys wanted anything to do with that nonsense. Guess we deserved it.
