Runny eggs and chewy bacon....

....it's what I had for breakfast. :gaah:

So I met someone for a breakfast meeting at a local restaurant. Waitress was cute and service seemed to be good.

Coffee was hot and everything seemed lovely.....until the meal came.

I noticed right away the eggs were undercooked. You could see a liquidy milky looking puddle of something the eggs were part of.

So I decided to just try the bacon.....after all, it's bacon! :drool: How could they screw bacon up?!?!?

Let me assure you, they found a way! It was chewy AF. I felt like I was chewing gum after a while and I was afraid to continue chewing it.

2 eggs over easy....screwed that up!

3 slices of bacon....I only got 2 ....and a half a piece of another strip. Maybe the cook sampled the other half?!?!? :headscratch:

I was like....well at least the coffee is good....until I got to the bottom of cup and realized it wasn't the bacon that was gritty but the 1/8 cup of coffee grinds that settled to the bottom of my coffee cup.

My friend all the while is raving about this place....asking me repeatedly if I like it. Finally I said NO! It aint worth a fuck!

haha....I think it actually hurt his feelings I wasn't impressed with runny eggs and chewy fucking bacon.


What did you have for breakfast and how do you like your eggs?

eating scrambled eggs and toast and a banana at home right now.

i like to mix it up with my eggs. sometimes soft-scrambled, sometimes over easy (love to mix runny eggs in things like hashbrowns, or dib toast or a biscuit in them etc), sometimes poached

Scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, white or sourdough toast and some hashed taters.
 
I'm difficult when it comes to breakfast. I don't like eggs or bacon or sausages or coffee - regardless of how it's prepared. All pork grosses me out. Hot liquids gross me out. My typical daily breakfast consists of a Pop Tart and a Dr. Pepper. If other people want to go out for breakfast, I'd probably order a Belgian waffle.
 
Breakfast? Pretty much the same as every day. Kind breakfast bar, some fresh pineapple and a protein shake.

my favorite way to have eggs is poached, but it's a bit of a pain in the ass to make them that way, so i just cook mine over-medium. and yes, bacon needs to have a nice crispness to it, so that the fatty parts melt in your mouth.

Sunday's i'll make Eggs (Sunny side up) Country taters, bacon, some toast and of course a freezing cold glass of milk. During the week it's usually a couple breakfast tacos (Bacon & egg).
