I have a bulb in the spare bathroom that I replaced and almost immediately burned out again...not sure the cause. Going to have to go into the socket, I guess. I am not good at electrical work

I've done a bit, mostly just changing fixtures. My BiL does airplane maintenance and has helped with wiring in my house. We changed out the pull chain fixtures for switched ones in the storage area when we finished the basement. No fires yet.
