I made a nice little impulse buy over the weekend. Got a stainless Kimber 1911

2 years ago to the day... Submitted a ticket to be fixed... Got a question about it 5 minutes ago...

Shit. And I felt guilty responding to an IT ticket 10 days from it being sent to me from IT

A fucking wedding photographer costs $2500? hahahaha. blow me
Have to find a newbie trying to break into the game. We got ours for like $750. Looked her up about 5 years later and she was over $2k...and that was 16 years ago.

Everything has become bloated for weddings. Like I understand wanting to have professionally done pictures, but I couldn't rationalize spending my own money for it. Not that much.
What compromising photos does your gal have of her sister that she wants to pay for the wedding photographer?

Haha. Yeah, don't feel bad. This type of stuff happens all the time (granted it has never been from 2 years prior) but they do it all the time, it's rather annoying and I really shouldn't take it personally except they decide to cc the world instead of just asking me directly first.

It would be our wedding gift. They said that they were gifted a photographer for their wedding and it was something they were really thankful for. I guess paying it forward or some shit.

I'd rather pay $50 for a handful of chocolate strawberries and get a mug out of it than pay some skillless broad $2Gs to have a camera and a computer do all of the work for her.
I'm not arguing a "pro-photographer" stance or anything because I refuse to pay a lot for photos, but by this logic we all are essentially having computers "do our work". That's a pretty weird hill to die on.

The computer can make up for a photographer's lack of talent.

As can an expensive lens.

If you can even consider standing and pushing a button on a gadget to be a "talent"

not really

if you don't capture a moment, the computer can't just recreate it for you.

you can get better lighting or colors through editing, but it still takes a skill to capture it from the right angle.

and I take offense to you saying photography isn't a talent. It very much takes a good eye to know what will and won't make a good photo.

but you're a coward and have me on ignore, so I don't expect a response.
