If the mortgagor isn’t an idiot, the second lien holder will get fucked regardless. Because if there’s equity to pay it off, the fucker should have sold rather than letting the property go to foreclosure.

Yep, they try to sell out from under it. Buyers know there's a sale coming so they aren't paying full price. If it looks as if the place won't sell before the foreclosure date they file for bankruptcy.
Yep. And then that BK is dismissed and they file another one. Over and over. Then they file a complaint with the CFPB and you end up in foreclosure for years. Hence why we sell all of our servicing. No one needs the hassle for just the servicing strip. Fuck that noise.
