Rocket scientist? Dude made parts for satellites and stuff. My 78 year old grandpa with a 6th grade education makes parts for satellites at my uncle's machine shop(My grandpa considers working 40 hours a week running some kind of tooling machine to be retirement, I think he'd go crazy if he was home all day with my grandma)

I’m only guessing here....but I always wondered if he was under some kind of confidentiality with work, what he does, and (most importantly) who they build for.

He and I talked in some space threads about how my brother works for NASA, but I always kept details of that somewhat vague. He didn’t really do that on his end IMO.

as a matter of fact, if its to be believed by the person who figured out who he was, he didn't even do that. he's a salesman for the company he works for, not an engineer (which is absolutely fine, hell, i work in sales... but apparently, to rock, such an occupation would be below him, at least as far as his online persona is concerned)

You've posted all your names on EuroHoop and I cringe every time I see you do it because of the cuckoo birds lurking on the innerneps but I also know that you FN'ers had a big secret society and shared FB profiles and all that as well so it's all out there.

I've had a couple people from EuroHoop that found me on FB (when I still had one), found out my real name and some other pertinent details. A few did their own research and a couple I gave it to because we became offline friends. Those ones I actually trust implicitly so I'm not worried, but some people don't like my behavior so I'm sure they'll blow a gasket someday and splash my deets for all to see.

I just hope they use a cute picture and not one where I'm all fucked up and looking a hot mess.

To me there's no need to inflate the status of your job. If you're making a living, you're doing pretty good IMO.

Hell, I'm 30 and I've been working at rock quarries for 9 years, it's all I know, I make a decent living, not glamorous by any means, but I more than get by, but a lot of people look down on jobs like that
