Incoming freshman is a stud, but lack of time in the system hurts a lot.
Probably still favored to win every game though.

Not something you want to see, but I don't think we go 6-6 or anything.

Probably not the case with every team.

Our starting QB is still "not decided". So, it'll hurt, but I don't think the drop off would be too significant

Sadly, the biggest difference will be a drop in interceptions for us.

I instantly change my favorite team to the Oklahoma Sooners

Oklahoma:

My heart says 12-0.
My head says 10-2. There are always a handful of games where a QB has to step up and "make the plays" when it counts. When they don't, we often lose. Asking a raw freshman to perform like that with the kind of offense that OU now runs is probably asking for too much. It isn't like Jamelle Holieway who was pretty much handing off a lot of the time. Holieway had 6 TD passes all season as a freshman when we won the National Championship. He also was playing on a squad that had Brian Bosworth, Keith Jackson, Tony Casillas, Ricky Dixon, Tim Lashar, Spencer Tillman, Anthony Phillips, Kevin Murphy, Darrell Reed, etc. on it. Oklahoma had 4 first team all-conference players on defense in 1985. They only had 1 game where they allowed more than 14 points and they lost that one. OU played 12 games and gave up a total of 103 points. Think about that.

Insert September Heisman JJ McCarthy
Also, as a side note, I can't remember the last season where our starting QB hasn't missed at least one game with injury. We've had real bad luck in that arena.

Ha, you losers with quarterbacks. We don’t have a QB, RB, any WRs or OLine to speak of. Now that’s real football.

I swear, if we get beat by Anthony Russo or Payton Thorne I'm going to be so pissed

don't care..got Bijan

I don’t know how you could lose to this shit show, with so many new players, but if Michigan does, I don’t think even a win over Ohio State (HAHAHAHAHA) should save Harbaugh’s job.

UCF goes 7-5 or something, losing to every not-shitty team on their schedule. :ranger:

We insert true freshman Jalen Milroe and go back to the offense we ran with Jalen Hurts. We would still go 12-0 but Idk if we could beat Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, or Oklahoma with Milroe

Aren’t we all suppose to pull an Ohio State and send death threats to him because he isn’t on a scholarship to be injured?

Given Kelly's track record, our backup QB is probably better anyway. I don't think our QB play will be the reason we win/lose games. 12-0 ceiling, 9-3 floor this year IMO.
