I didn't go to a barber until I was in my 20's. I walked in and the guy says "what do you want?" Uh, a haircut???

He starts rattling off things like fade, princeton, high and tight

I was like WTF????

I've had men and women cut my hair, I'm pretty indifferent. Regardless of who cuts it, I prefer to go local/small business over great clips/sams, but I did fantastic sams for a number of years

I grew up just going to the barbershop with my dad....old Italian dude.

then my dad pissed him off at the golf course, so he wouldn't cut my hair anymore.
 
I wish the Mrs could learn how to cut my bangs. She cut my hair when all the shops were closed down and did a pretty decent job. Checking her oil as compensation isn't a bad deal for a haircut
