Yeah, that image puts my disdain (though begrudging respect) for Coach K. in perspective.

The whole “announce you’re going to retire in a year” thing is a total douche move. It’s a ploy to get a victory lap and going-away swag at every venue. Just finish it up and hang them up once you’re done.

You think so? You don't believe that all of these teams have one thing in mind and that's the opportunity to beat Coach K one last time? This coming year's team will have twice the amount of pressure to win games as any in the past.

There's really just three ways to leave your job.

1) Get Fired (Abrupt Exit)
2) Quit (Abrupt exit but with a two week notice sometimes)
3) Leave gracefully thru transition of retirement. ( Handing off the baton without disruption)

Your school just isn't familiar with number 3.

Carolina should have missed the tourney themselves. Duke had the same amount of wins as the Tar Holes
